Red Lake Nation College

ECSI provided the electrical design and installation for lighting power, AV systems, cameras, fire alarms, and two large video walls as part of the renovation of Red Lake Nation College in Minneapolis.

Situated on a distinctive lot that includes three century-old buildings, the project involved transforming these spaces into a cohesive, modern environment. The design features a stunning two-story atrium and a rooftop deck offering views of U.S. Bank Stadium.

The college’s downtown Minneapolis location presented an exciting opportunity to blend historic charm with contemporary design. Exposed brick and timber from the original structures are seamlessly integrated with modern finishes, and the atrium’s expansive city views help foster a sense of connection to the vibrant urban landscape.

However, the project did come with challenges, including the tight constraints of a downtown footprint and the proximity to a busy bike lane.
