The ECSI team celebrates the completion of the Hilton Legacy Hotel in downtown Rochester, MN—bringing world-class lodging to a world-class medical city.
MAY 2019—Every year, nearly 400,000 patients and countless medical professionals from around the world visit Mayo Clinic Health Systems’ main campus in Rochester, Minnesota—and most of them need a place to sleep. The Destination and Medical Center Initiative, which champions Rochester as a global destination for health and wellness, recently celebrated the completion of one of its pioneering projects: the 5-star Hilton Legacy Hotel.
Building a luxury hotel in a leading medical city calls for cutting-edge technology. ECSI General Foreman Aaron Johnson and a team of 14 low voltage electricians installed a full spread of top-tier low voltage systems including power, lighting and access control systems, voice/data systems, and fire and life safety devices. The project portfolio also includes numerous audio-visual installations that provide optimal guest experience throughout the building:

- 12 Crestron control touchpads
- 25 televisions with digital signage
- Three touchscreen devices with way-finding signage
- Two ballrooms with seven drop-down projectors and screens
- A total of 224 speakers and 316 televisions throughout the facility
